Tattwan Yoga is based on Raja Yoga
in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
There are many words that attempt to express the ultimate experience of Yoga: OM, Bliss, Enlightenment, Liberation, True Self, Atman, Ram, Supreme Truth, Cosmic Energy, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi. It means yoking the finite, mental consciousness to the infinite consciousness. It’s an experience beyond words and must be experienced personally. But when personal Yoga practice is limited to group hatha practice, the yogi may only get a whiff the experience. While that may be satisfactory to many people in the West, it only takes a bit more knowledge and discipline to develop a personal Yoga practice to fully experience the stillness of your natural state of peace and happiness; OM at its most intense.
Learning enough to develop one’s own practice usually requires a 200-hour teacher training. That’s a big commitment, especially in the time frame usually offered. You’re left with quite a bit of information and will only be able to assimilate some of it over time as your personal practice develops.
These Tattwan Yoga classes consist of what I assimilated after my teacher training and will leave you with a solid foundation to begin your own personal yoga practice so that in a shorter amount of time you can experience for yourself what cannot be completely put into words. After completing this four-week program, Tattwan Yoga will be second nature to you and you can begin daily practice on your own. After completing eight hours of training you’ll be confident in your knowledge to develop a practice that suits your abilities and preferences perfectly so that your personal yoga practice will be something you’ll look forward to each day. With a dedicated practice you’ll remove veils darkening your clearest perception of life and soon discover a peaceful consciousness separate from your ego. “Rest in natural great peace.”
